After hitting a grand salami off of the NY Mets’ Johan Santana, Seattle Mariners pitcher Felix Hernandez was injured when he covered home plate and Carlos Beltran slid in hard into Hernandez’s ankle.
The Associated Press reports that x-rays were negative and Hernandez is expected to make his next start.
