The Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Horse Racing continues as Big Brown failed in his attempt to capture the honor.

Trainer Rick Dutrow Jr. had trumpeted the Colt prior to the Belmont Stakes saying that a Big Brown victory was a foregone conclusion but when all was said and done Da’ Tara came out on top–covering as a 38-1 long shot.

Big Brown ended up in ninth spot.
