Thanks in part to his league high five blown saves, the Milwaukee Brewers have decided to stop using Eric Gagne as the closer for the time being.

Gagne recently expressed frustration with his inability to effectively close out games and manager Ned Yost says he wants to give the relief pitcher what he calls a “mental break”.

Milwaukee will use a “closer by committee” approach and the Brewers are +101 underdogs in a matchup against the St. Louis Cardinals today.
