Colorado Rockies starting right-handed pitcher Kip Wells will have surgery to remove a blood clot from his throwing hand and has been placed on the 15-day DL retroactive to April 28.

The Rockies host the St. Louis Cardinals tonight and are listed as -130 on the Money line.
