Kobe Bryant Likely To Play Vs. Denver
Updated February 5, 2010
Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant is suffering from a left ankle injury but according to the L.A. Times, is not expected to miss the team’s game against the Denver Nuggets tonight.
An ESPN report yesterday stated that the injury was “upgraded to a sprain” and Bryant didn’t practice on Thursday, receiving treatment instead.
Even with Kobe less than 100 percent however, the Lakers are 8-point home faves and the Total is set at 200.
Kobe originally suffered the injury last Friday in a game against the Philadelphia 76ers when he ran into Philly F Elton Brand.
In the second quarter of Wednesday night’s game against the Charlotte Bobcats, teammate Lamar Odom stepped on Bryant’s ankle and although Kobe continued to play, he left for the locker room ahead of the halftime buzzer.
Bryant played in the second half and finished the game with a mere 5-points; the Lakers won 99-97 but failed to cover as 10.5-point home faves.
Bryant has played with back, finger, groin and right knee injuries this season.
