Pens’ Malkin Out 2-3 Weeks
Updated October 30, 2009
According to Pittsburgh Penguins head coach Dan Bylsma, star center Evgeni Malkin has been playing with a strained shoulder the past 10 days but will now rest for two to three weeks.
“Obviously he has played with it and could gut it out, which is what Geno would be apt to do,” Bylsma told the Pengins’ official site.
Bylsma went on to say that it was a precautionary move and that the rest would get Malkin healthy and ready for action again.
TSN.ca is reporting that Malkin will travel with the Penguins for their game against Columbus tonight where the Pens are +115 underdogs, the Blue Jackets are -135 fave and the Total is set at 5.5.
