Phillies Draw First Blood In World Series
The New York Yankees were favored at -173 but it was the +158 underdog Philadelphia Phillies who took Game 1 winning 6-1.
New York Yankees starter CC Sabathia, who had been very reliable up until this point, went seven innings and gave up to homers, both to 2B Chase Utley.
Cliff Lee started for Philly and went the distance, allowing a single run and striking out 10.
The Total was set at 8 and went Under.
