Former No. 1 Pick Overall To Start For Niners
Updated October 30, 2009
After going 15-22 for 206 yards with 2 TDs and a pick in relief of Shaun Hill last week, Alex Smith will start at QB for the San Francisco 49ers.
Smith came in after the first half of last week’s 24-21 loss to the 3-point home fave Houston Texans forcing a Push with his play.
San Francisco head coach Mike Singletary named the former top pick overall as the starter for this week’s road game against the Indianapolis Colts–the 49ers are big 13-point underdogs and the Total is set at 45.
The Niners don’t seem to rise to the occasion in their last 10 when listed as underdogs of more than 8-points, going 2-8 SU and 3-7 ATS.
