The curtain draws for the NBA’s regular season on Tuesday and prior to the season’s start, the Los Angeles Lakers are the odds-on fave to take the title and Western Conference title again at +220 and -110 respectively.

From a betting perspective, the Eastern Conference’s best hope is the Cleveland Cavaliers who are +150 to take the conference title and +300 to win the championship.

Other favorites to win the 2009/10 NBA championship are the Boston Celtics (+333), the San Antonio Spurs (+750) and the Orlando Magic (+550).

Longshots include the Milwaukee Bucks, Minnesota Timberwolves and the Sacramento Kings, all at +15,000 to win it all this year.
