Gators’ Defense Lacking Bite Vs. Bulldogs?
The first order of business for the Florida Gators, as the newly appointed No. 1 BCS team, is a game against the Mississippi St. Bulldogs.
Florida is a big 23-point road fave but its defense, one of its big strengths, will be missing three starters.
According to the Associated Press, LB Brandon Spikes has a groin injury and DTs Jaye Howard and Lawrence Marsh have knee and ankle injuries respectively and all three were limited participants in practice this week.
Gators’ head coach Urban Meyer is quoted by the AP as saying that Howard and Marsh are doubtful.
In Florida’s last 11 games when favored by 10-points or more, it is 11-0 SU and 8-2-1 ATS.
The Total for Saturday’s game is set at 49.5.
