Ohio State Won’t Have “Boom”
Updated October 16, 2009
According to various reports, the Ohio State Buckeyes will be without RB Dan “Boom” Herron for this week’s road game against Purdue and he may be gone longer.
He will be replaced by RB Brandon Saine and Ohio State is a 13.5-point fave with the Total at 45.
Herron suffered an ankle injury in OSU’s 30-0 win to Illinois on Sept. 26 and missed a game against Indiana the following week.
He returned last week in the Buckeyes’ 31-13 win over Wisconsin but re-injured his ankle only after two carries.
Ohio State has been very good in its last 20 road games, going 17-3 straight up and 16-4 against the spread.
