Updated October 16, 2009
The Associated Press reports that New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi could go with a three-man pitching rotation in the American League Championship Series (ALCS) vs. the L.A. Angels.
The Yanks’ skipper would then use pitchers Joba Chamberlain and Chad Gaudin in relief.
CC Sabathia goes for New York while John Lackey starts for Los Angeles in Game 1, which takes place tonight in the Big Apple.
The Pinstripers are favored at -170 in the ALCS opener while the Halos are +155 with a Total of 8.5.
The Bronx Bombers and Angels both disposed of their ALDS opponents (the Minnesota Twins and Boston Red Sox respectively) in clean sweeps.
The Yanks are favored in series price betting at -190 while the Angels are +165 underdogs.
