No Bradford For Sooners Vs. Hurricanes
Updated October 2, 2009
Despite an increased workload at practice, Oklahoma Sooners QB Sam Bradford won’t see action against the Miami Hurricanes this Saturday.
The 2008 Heisman trophy winner was sharing snaps with current starter Landry Jones this week, leading some to speculate that he could return to action this week but Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops declared Jones his starter on Thursday.
Stoops said, via a statement, that Bradford was showing improvement but wasn’t “quite where he needs to be yet.”
The No. 8 Sooners are currently 7-point road faves for their tilt against the No. 17 Hurricanes and are currently in the midst of a six-game SU and ATS winning streak on the road.
Bradford suffered a sprained shoulder in the first game of the season and hasn’t seen action since.
