The NHL season starts tomorrow and there are a number of futures bets available.

Going in, the Pittsburgh Penguins (2009 champs) and the Chicago Blackhawks are the odds-on favorites to take the Stanley Cup, both at +550.

The Penguins are also favored to take the Eastern Conference at +250 while last year’s Western champs, the Detroit Red Wings, are listed at +180 to repeat.

In the Eastern Conference, Pittsburgh is also favored to win the Atlantic division at -175, the Boston Bruins are the odds-on to take the Northeast at  -125 and the Washington Capitals are -250 to win the Southeast.

Over in the West, the Red Wings are favored to take the Central at -110, the Vancouver Canucks are favorites in the Northwest at +140 and the San Jose Sharks are favored to win the Pacific at -200.
