After missing the postseason for the first time in 13 seasons in 2008 the New York Yankees made sure that won’t happen again this year.

The Yanks clinched a playoff spot on the strength of a 6-5 road win over the L.A. Angels and a 9-1 Texas Rangers loss to the Oakland Athletics.

The Bronx Bombers have clinched a Wild Card berth at worst and at best they can capture the AL East division.

The Pinstripers are the odds-on favorites to win the AL Pennant at +100 and the World Series at +225.

The Yankees play another game against the L.A. Angels, this time an afternoon affair, and are listed at +124 underdogs.

New York has struggled in its last 20 road games against the Angels going 5-15 straight up.
