If you’ve been reading the blog throughout the NCAA Tournament, you’ve been keeping up with our posts on how the favorites vs. underdogs battle was playing out.

So after the smoke has cleared on the first four days of action, the underdogs made a strong push the last three days, after getting hammered on Day 1.

Favorites went 13-3 ATS in the first 16 games of the tourney on Thursday, handing the sportsbooks one of their bleaker days of the year. However, since then over the next three days, the dogs put up some fight, holding their own. The covered the spread in 15 of the next 32 games (favorites were 17-15 ATS over the last three days).

Can the dogs continue to win their share during the Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight set for this weekend. We’ll see, but traditionally they have fared reasonably well in these two rounds.
