Anaheim Ducks’ captain Chris Pronger thought he was in the clear when the NHL originally announced there would be no suspension for an incident with Canuck Ryan Kesler. However, things changed when the league was able to see video of the infraction from a different angle. After viewing that tape, they said it was clear there was reckless and careless behaviour by Pronger, who brought his skate down on Kesler’s leg.

Pronger, one of the best D-men in the game, is gone for eight games.

The Ducks are a -260 favorite tonight at home vs. the Blues.
