North Carolina built up a big first half lead then had to finish strong to beat the #6-ranked Blue Devils in Duke, one of the toughest places for a visiting team to get a win. The 8-point victory in college basketball’s big matchup of the day Saturday gave the Tar Heels (who were 1-point underdogs) the ACC regular season title and now will almost assuredly grab the No. 1 seed in the Charlotte-based East Regional - meaning their fans can travel enmasse to cheer them on in the post-season.
