This franchise has had an awful stecnh around them for years, save for that brief respite when they amde the Super Bowl several seasons ago. However, this year might be a little different. They have the core to what should be the makings of a team that can compete most Sundays. Add to that they are being active in the free agent market and Raiders fan might have something to celebrate about in 2008.

Oakland announced they signed receiver Javon Walker and offensive tackle Kwmae Harris. Both will help if they stay healthy, particularly Harris.
