Today, one of the nicest settings for horse racing in North America hosts one of the early springs big days. Santa Anita has their $1 million Handicap this afternoon, but probably even more importantly, they also have the $200,000 Sham Stakes. This race, although boasting a lighter purse, will provide a preview of the West Coast’s top Kentucky Derby hopefuls.
