The Buffalo Sabres have signed their second leading scorer from last season to a five-year contract extension yesterday just in time for training camp says the Associated Press.

Jason Pominville, who had 27 goals and 53 assists in 2007/08, was reportedly extended for $26.5 million over five-years according to TSN.ca.

The Sabres are listed at +1800 to win the Prince of Wales trophy as the Eastern Conference champs this spring.
