Mets Lose Closer For Rest Of Season
Trying to fend off the Philadelphia Phillies for top spot in the NL East, the New York Mets got some unwelcomed news when they found out that closer Billy Wagner has lost for the season.
Wagner will undergo surgery to “repair an MCL ligament in the elbow of his throwing arm” reports ESPN.
“It is a tear of the flexor pronator,” Mets VP of public relations Jay Horwitz told ESPN radio.
