With starter Josh Beckett missing another start because of a problematic right elbow, the Boston Red Sox enlisted the services of famed surgeon Dr. James Andrews.
Andrews, who specializes in elbow, knee and shoulder injuries, examined Beckett and determined that the pitcher had a strained right elbow; the team subsequently placed him on the 15-day disabled list.
Boston is listed as a -163 favorite in a game against the Chicago White Sox tonight.
