Kansas Hits 80%

Friday, March 28th, 2008

The bettors at SPORTSBETTING.COM appear to be spurred on by North Carolina’s dominating performance last night, as they are giving another dominant #1-seed lots of love today. The money has been pretty steady on Kansas as the Friday night Sweet Sixteen games approach. They are receiving 80% of the action as a 12.5-point favorite over Villanova.

Wisconsin A Covering Machine

Friday, March 28th, 2008

The Badgers head into tonight’s matchup vs. Davidson hitting 90% ATS in their last 10 games. They are on a very profitable 9-1 ATS run in their last 10 starts. Wisconsin is a 5-point favorite vs. the #10-seed vs. the Wildcats.

Sweet Sixteen

Friday, March 28th, 2008

The Sweet Sixteen tipped off last night with both #1-seeds moving comfortably through to the Elite Eight round. North Carolina covered easily, while UCLA was never in trouble, but didn’t cover. Underdog Xavier won in overtime, and small favorite Louisville had an easy time of it with Tennessee. So the dogs covered two and the favorites covered two.

There are four more games on tap tonight…check out the lines at SPORTSBETTING.COM

Tar Heels Cover Again

Friday, March 28th, 2008

North Carolina continued to roll, as they knocked off Washington State on their way into the Elite Eight. The 67-48 victory marked the third straight tournament game in which the Tar Heels have won by more than 20 points. The 8.5-point favorite was held to their second lowest point of the season, but their defense was great in the win and cover.

They’ll play either Louisville or Tennessee this weekend.

Syd Is Back For Penguins

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

The Penguins will have their captain, Sydney Crosby, back on the ice tonight after he missed the last eight games. Pittsburgh should have an emotional pick-up as a -300 favorite in their meeting with the Islanders. They’ll also be looking for some revenge after losing on the Island 4-1 three nights ago.

West Virginia Gets More Than 70% of The Action

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

The Mountaineers have caught the bettors attention in this round of the tournament, as they head into their Sweet Sixteen game with Xavier off an impressive win over an unimpressive Duke team (#2-seed).

The money being wagered on this matchup at SPORTSBETTING.COM is clearly favoring the #7-seed West Virginia, with 73% of the volume on that side and only 27% currently bet on Xavier.
