This obviously isn’t the marquee matchup the NFL was hoping for when they scheduled this Saturday night game, with two non-playoff teams squaring off. The home team 49ers are +8 (-105) right now at SPORTSBETTING.COM, hosting a Cincinnati team that has disappointed all season.
Late money has shown on San Francisco, moving the number from Cincy -8.5 down to -8. The total is 42.5, with 70% of the bettors at SPORTSBETTING.COM on the “Over” side.
The game kicks off at 8:15 Eastern Standard Time.

The Steelers were glad to welcome QB Ben Roethlisberger back to practice on Friday after he missed a couple of days with a sore shoulder (his throwing arm). It is almost certain he will get the start on Sunday vs. the Jaguars.

The weather forecast has played havoc with the Over/Under number in the Patriots-Jets matchup. It opened above 50 and now sits at 44 as the “Under” wagers flow in. Snow, and lots of it, was what triggered the big move.
The latest reports are saying the bad weather will hit around game time, but it might not be as cold as they thought and it could be more rain than the heavy white stuff. Keep an eye on the updated weather reports for Foxboro if you’re still looking at playing this total.

The Cleveland Cavaliers face the Nets tonight in New Jersey. It was only 10 days ago that the Cavaliers were embarrassed by the Nets on their home court, losing by 21.
But since then Cleveland has seen the return of their star, Lebron James, who didn’t play in the home loss. As well, New Jersey has lost four straight coming into this game (in fact, their last win was the road victory over the Cavs). Cleveland is a very different team than the one that took the court 10 days ago (Larry Hughes is back as well).
The Cavs are -3 (-105) at SPORTSBETTING.COM

The NFL’s Thursday nighter wasn’t a great game for many bettors, as they heavily-backed Broncos struggled all game vs. the Texans. The game opened with Houston as a small home favorite, but the betting public kept hitting the Broncos, moving the number to the other side, as the game kicked off with Denver as a 2-point favorite - a big swing for NFL games.
Houston pulled away in the second half, winning 31-13. Bettors also took a hit on the total, as 80% of the action was on the “Over” 47.

Reports are that when the Mitchell Report is full revealed, a few BIG name baseball players are going to be implicated as users of performance enhancing drugs. The biggest has to be Roger Clemens. Testimony from a former trainer is sad to provide evidence that the Rocket’s impressive performance in the latter stages of his career might not have been all to do with genetics and training. Andy Pettite is another name whispered to be on the list.
It’s going to be interesting to hear the comments from those on the list once the report hits the streets.
