Stewart A Hit

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

This blog post is a day late, but we were talking about the Oscar’s night this morning and the consensus at our office was that Jon Stewart did a great job as host…and the two actors/musicians from “Once” were the best story of the night.

Odds on favorites “No Country for Old Men” won, and I think they Fedexed the award for Best Actor to Daniel Day-Lewis months ago, as he was a slam-dunk.

Speaking Of The Oscars

Sunday, February 24th, 2008

I’m just finishing up my Sunday morning coffee which means the Oscar pre-show on the red carpet has been going for a couple of hours…I jest…but the coverage will start soon, like the Super Bowl, they love the build up to the event as much as the actual event.

And I will likely be watching.

“No Country For Old Men” is the big favorite, at odds of 1-3, in the Best Movie category (and it was a great movie)…Javier Bardem should win for “Coolest Haircut Since 1979″ as well. “There Will Be Blood” has a shot though as well in this category, it sits at 5-2 odds. The star, Daniel Day-Lewis, looks to pick up the “Best Actor” award.

You can check out all the Oscar lines and wagering options here

Enjoy the awards.
