Gholston is listed as a 20-1 longshot to be the first overall pick.

DeAngelo Hall Traded To The Raiders

Sunday, March 16th, 2008

The Raiders are close to completing a deal that will deliver corner DeAngelo Hall to their squad. It definitely adds an impact player at a crucial position, but “MeAngelo” (as he was known in college) brings some baggage with him, particularly when he plays for a team that isn’t winning…and he is going to the Raiders…a franchise that one of the worst records in football the last several years. This could be real good…or real bad.

Patriots’ “Spygate” Saga Continues

Monday, March 10th, 2008

It looks like this thing isn’t going to go away, as the NFL announced that they are close to signing off on a deal with Matt Walsh. Walsh is the New England employee who taped the St. Louis Rams’ walk-through practice before the 2002 Super Bowl (which New England won).

Walsh had been seeking protection from any legal action against him before turning over the tapes. As I’m sure most of you remember, the initial investigation into this ended with Bill Belichick getting fined $500,000, the team had to pay $250,000 and they lost their first round draft pick (they’ll still pick seventh overall thanks to a trade with San Fran).

We’ll update this story as it continues to unfold.
