While Kansas defeated Memphis in the Men’s final last night, the Stanford Cardinal and Tennessee Volunteers get set to battle for the Women’s title tonight.

Already in the Final Four and an All-American, University of North Carolina forward Tyler Hansbrough was also named the Associated Press’ College Basketball Player of the Year.
Hansbrough beat out Kansas State’s Michael Beasley and Memphis’ Chris Douglas-Roberts for the honor.

Georgia pulled off a big upset this afternoon, as they downd Arkansas in the SEC Championship game to win the conference title. The Bulldogs were a 7.5-point dog at tip-off, but they continued their improbable tourney run with another impressive upset win.
This puts them in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2002.
