Now That Was Choking

Tuesday, April 8th, 2008

We’ve seen a lot of teams choke in our day…and last night was one of them. You all know the story, up by nine, two minutes to go….missed free throws, turnovers, and Memphis bettors watch their tickets go up in flames.

I wonder if Coach Calipari still thinks free throws aren’t that important, or that “big players make free throws when they count”.

Congrats to Kansas though, as they had a great tournament.

Jayhawks Win March Madness

Tuesday, April 8th, 2008

It took an OT session but the Kansas Jayhawks, listed as 2-point underdogs at SPORTSBETTING.COM prior to game time, won the NCAA Div. I basketball championship by a final score of 75-68 over the favored Memphis Tigers.

MVP Prop Bet Fave Will Play In Title Game

Rose is SPORTSBETTING.COM’s odds-on favorite to win the tournament MVP award, listed at +100.

Tonight’s total is set at 147.5.

The March Madness finale goes tonight in San Antonio, with the Memphis Tigers a 2-point favorite over Kansas.

The game tips off at 9:20 Eastern Standard Time.

It’s Kansas vs. Memphis

Sunday, April 6th, 2008

The Tigers haven’t been exposed yet…and now they’re playing for the National Championship. People have been waiting for this Memphis team to fade away once they had to face some “real” competition, outside the C-USA, but they just keep on winning. After beating up on UCLA, easily covering the pointspread, they now face Kansas in the title game.

Memphis is a 1.5-point favorite over the Jayhawks in the Championship game on Monday night.

Memphis Tigers In “Over” Their Heads

Friday, April 4th, 2008
