Big Ben Set To Start Vs. Oakland
Updated December 4, 2009
Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin says QB Ben Roethlisberger will start in the team’s home game against the Oakland Raiders this Sunday — the Steelers are favored by 14.5-points with an Over/Under of 37.
Pittsburgh is 9-1 straight up and 7-3 against the spread in its last 10 games at Heinz Field but Oakland has been decent in its last 11 games when an underdog of more than 8-points, going 7-4 ATS.
Roethlisberger practiced with the first-team offense before last week’s game against the Baltimore Ravens but the team decided against letting him play.
Dennis Dixon started in Big Ben’s stead and the 7.5-point underdog Steelers lost in OT to the Ravens 20-17.
