Meyer: Tebow A Game-Time Decision
Updated October 9, 2009
Florida Gators head coach Urban Meyer says QB Tim Tebow’s status is still up in the air.
The No. 1 Gators have a key SEC road matchup against No. 4 LSU Tigers on Saturday–Florida is favored by 7.5-points with a Total of 43.
Meyer told the Associated Press that the team will wait to see how the 2007 Heisman winner “reacts to the flight from Gainesville to Baton Rouge” before making a firm decision.
Tebow is no longer feeling any post-concussion symptoms suffered from a hit he took in a win against Kentucky two weeks ago–he resumed practicing this week but hasn’t received medical clearance.
According to ESPN, Meyer said earlier that Tebow would continue to be evaluated until the start of Saturday’s game.
The head coach also said noise could be a factor in whether Tebow would play.
“If the noise bothers Tim, he won’t be in the game,” Meyer said.
Dating back to 1995, Florida has gone 11-3 against the spread vs. LSU and is 6-1 ATS in its last seven road tilts in Baton Rouge.
